It’s World Meditation Day today, and what a day for my podcast episode with Take 10 For Mental Health to be released.
I was interviewed by Sophia Harris for this episode and here’s how she summed it up:
In a former life, she was a lawyer. Working hard, ticking boxes, and climbing the corporate ladder.
“Kate Cliff wasn’t always a meditation teacher.
Her body was begging her to slow down and stop. But she wasn’t listening. Until she had no choice…
Kate was crossing the street in the city after a long day at work when she was struck by a taxi at 60km/hr. She was dragged before finally coming to a stop and hitting her head on the road.
It’s a miracle Kate survived. But it wasn’t without severe, life-threatening and life-changing injuries.
She had brain damage, spinal damage and severe PTSD.
But during her rehab, there was one missing piece that completely changed her life.
Meditation was the piece of the puzzle that began to heal her, from the inside out.
Now, she’s a meditation teacher and shares the gift of meditation and mindfulness with hundreds of people across the world.
Here is Kate’s extraordinary story.”
