I’ve recently become a published author in an Amazon best selling book Made Beautiful By Scars, and it was lovely to receive this picture of it in the home of reader Jenna Cody. For such a long time I found it an extremely painful experience sharing the details of the toughest times of my life. That I’d rather just teach people the tool that completely changed everything, Vedic Meditation, than share my story. That was my preference. What I’ve come to realise over the years is that I can have gone through everything that I’ve been through if it means that someone out there feels inspired, connected and that there is hope. When I told a friend of mine that I was now a published author in an Amazon best seller he told me this was “AMAZING”. I preceded to tell him all the reasons why it wasn’t amazing: it’s only a short contribution I told him – that’s a standard length of a contributing chapter he replied. And then I received this message: “I just wanted to let you know I am reading the book you featured in. I absolutely love it. It makes me more grateful for my life and appreciate the things I have. I have been reading one person’s story each night and I was excited because I finally got to yours. I just want to say wow Kate. I knew you were into your meditation and surfing etc and I did hear somewhere along the way you were involved in an accident however I had no idea to what extent. I am so glad you found something that eases your pain. I’ve always been interested in meditation but use the excuse that I don’t have time (and quiet time with two crazy boys?!) but you’ve inspired me to somehow try fit it in somewhere. Congratulations on being featured in this book, I am truly enjoying it! And you really are so amazing! Thanks for sharing your story” ~ Jenna
