Post surf podcasting. Salty surf hair and fun times sitting down with this awesome chick, one of my closest friends, Eve Larsen to record an episode of the Tropical Winter podcast.
We made ourselves cuppa, sat down by the fire, got comfy and really delved into the story of my life. Eve’s one of my closest friends and recording the podcast gave us a chance to chat super candidly and in-depth about my life growing up on the South Coast; heading to Sydney for my career as a lawyer; illness, injury and rehabilitation; finding vedic meditation and studying to become a medi teacher; and me living out my dream to surf!!
This is as open and raw as it gets. I hope there’s something you can take away from it.
And while I might look comfortable and confident doing this sort of thing, I’m pretty sure it never gets comfortable. I think the more you step out of your comfort zone, the braver you get to take the next step and that’s where all the growth is!!
Plus I don’t think this is my little story. I think it’s the story of many, and that the world’s given it to me to inspire hope in others. What I know right now is that the world needs some good news stories, so here’s mine.
When I was laying in a neck brace in the most unbearable pain, after being hit by a car as a pedestrian, I’d close my eyes and what I’d see was me surfing. This is story of how I got to that being my reality. You can listen to it here.
Enjoy.
Sending love to everyone.
